German has several ways of forming the plural. The 5 basic plural endings are --, -e, -en, -er and -s. In some instances, the stem vowel of the noun also takes an umlaut. It is therefore advisable to learn a new noun together with its plural form.
But there are some guidelines for typical plural endings. In this exercise, you are supposed to figure out a guideline. Click on [Next] to see the singular form of a noun, then click on [Next] again to see the singular and the plural form of the noun.
