Special plaques on houses often commemorate historical and/or famous people who lived there at some stage.

 

The "nie" on this humorous sign is in small print, so from far away one might come to the conclusion that Goethe stayed there at some time.

 

On closer inspection, the visitor will realize that this was never the case.
